Healthy Home, Happy Planet

It's been an exciting couple of weeks with Clean Freak! There have been some great connections made in the community in regards to our product. Recently I was a vendor at a Menopause seminar (of all things!) at the Oregon Golf Club and was shocked to hear how toxic chemicals found in household cleaners actually are hormonal DISRUPTORS and can wreck havoc on our bodies if we're not careful. I learned how easy it is for our bodies to ingest Xenoestrogens (chemicals that mimic estrogens) which can lead to estrogen dominance. For more info. click here.

In my next post, I plan to write more on specific harmful chemicals found in our everyday cleaners and what those chemicals actually can do to our bodies and our environment. Just after some light research I'm already appalled at the type of cleaners I had sitting in my hallway closet! Yikes!

The mission of Clean Freak is to create a Healthy Home and a Happy Planet. It says that right on the bottle! Clean Freak is a safe and effective alternative to what you find on most grocery store shelves. Yes, you might pay a little more, but your health and our environment are worth it!!

A NEW LOOK!

OK! Here they are all dressed up! Clean Freak officially has a label! After choosing between some seriously awesome designs (thanks to my designer, Kris) we chose this one because of the simplicity of the layout and the playful font which we thought captured the idea of Clean Freak well. On the back of the label is a little story about cleaning the house with small children.....which many of us can sigh and relate!

Benefits of Tea Tree Oil

Tea Tree Oil, one of nature's most useful and important oils, was first researched in 1923 by Australian Chemist, Dr. A.R. Penfold. He found that the essential oil had antibacterial and antiseptic properties 13 times stronger than the accepted standard of the time! In 1930, the chemist published an article that stated that Tea Tree Oil's disinfectant action was sixty times greater than that of ordinary hand soap. By the 1940's Tea Tree Oil was issued in first aid kits for army and navy personnel!

As a household cleaner, Tea Tree Oil's antiseptic and antibacterial qualities make it a safe, natural, and effective choice. It is very tough on mold and mildew and has the power to dissipate (within a few days) any nasty odors.

All of Clean Freak's products contain Tea Tree Oil, with the highest concentration found in the Kitchen and Bath Blend. Don't let harsh chemicals and toxic fumes do your dirty work anymore! Clean Freak's products are derived from all natural sources and capitalize on what nature was intended to do!

Essential Oils vs. Fragrance

Essential Oils work as rubbish collectors, attaching themselves to toxins, free-radicals, cell debris, heavy metals, renegade cells, fungi, bacteria, viruses or other debris and taking them to the exits for disposal. The human body takes the most vital properties of essential oils and uses them to bring itself into balance and is left in a healthier state.

Fragrance oils work completely different on the human body. The difference between essential oils and fragrance oils can best be described by a comparison of a real slice of orange to a piece of orange candy. The real orange has health benefits for the body and comes directly from nature. The color, shape, flavor, scent, taste and vitamins come directly from nature. It was designed to nourish our body as well as provide vitamin C with vast health benefits.

A piece of orange candy gets it’s sweetness from sugar, shape from gums, is artificially flavored and colored, has no health benefits what so ever and actually can be bad for our health. An essential oil is an orange and fragrance oil is a piece of orange candy. The body gains nothing of value from fragrance oil because this man-made substance was only created to duplicate an aroma. Whereas the essential oil a function of a plant to protect, heal and pollinate life. The hormonal, antimicrobial, antibacterial, antiviral property of a plant is captured in the essential oil and the human body is able to use the plants vital energy to benefit itself.

Shake it up!

Just a quick note, because Clean Freak is an all-natural product (meaning there are no SYNTHETIC ingredients) you might find that a line will develop near the top of the bottle. This line is due to the settling of the essential oils. Because Clean Freak does not add chemicals to stabilize the oils (which many cleaning products do in order to preserve shelf life) simply shake the bottle before each use to redistribute the oil.
